• Mo Chit Station

3. Koh Samae San (Samae San Island)

Public Transportation

  • Northern Bus Terminal (Mo Chit 2) take a bus from Bangkok – Rayong and get off at Sattahip.
  • Bangkok Bus Terminal Ekkamai: Bangkok – Trat. The first bus leaves at 4.00 a.m. and leaves every 50 minutes. And get off at Sattahip.
    When arrived Sattahip market, take a blue minibus (Samae San). The minibus will go to the Thai Island and Sea Natural History Center. Then walk into the ticket office.

Private Car

From Bangkok, take Highway No.3 (Bangna-Trat) turn left onto Highway 344 (Chon Buri – Ban Bueng – Klaeng) when reaching Klaeng District. Turn left onto Highway 3 Pass through Chanthaburi to Trat, total distance 315 kilometers. Before reaching Laem Ngop pier, there is a shop opposite Krom Luang Chumphon Monument. There is a car deposit service about 50 baht per night.

You can take the public transportation to Laem Ngop pier from both Mo Chit 2 and Bangkok Bus Terminal Ekkamai.

From Laem Ngop Pier to Koh Mak, it takes 45 minutes by speedboat.
